Frequently asked questions

What separates you from others in your field?

My first-hand experience of living with trauma for years, was buried deep inside of me. I functioned everyday as if everything was okay and on the inside I was a mental and emotional wreck. I approach each client as the unique individual that they truly are. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach. Each session with a single client is different. I use tools and techniques that will benefit the client during their appointment. I do not have a pre-conceived plan of what tools and techniques will be used. The greater good of the client is my primary purpose, focus, and goal during their session(s).

Why do I need a Life Coach?

Coaching can help with seeing greater clarity, making better choices, and making wiser decisions in life. Coaching can help address challenges that you cope with, both internally and externally, about yourself, situations, and experiences. Coaching can help you gain insight into blind spots as to how you see yourself and experiences, empowering you to be the best version of yourself possible. Coaching allows you to embrace a different you; one that is free of the limiting beliefs that have been holding you back.

Am I ready for Trauma Coaching?

Only you can answer this question. Are you ready to discuss how you can feel more freedom from within? Are you determined to become alive and unpack your authentic self? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then the answer is yes,you are probably ready for Trauma Coaching. Most of my clients find me when they’ve sought other options and still didn't experience the healing they desired. Every person is different so it's important to find what will work best for you. More often than not, clients have spent many years in therapy and are fed up with seeing minimal to no progress. Others have spent years in recovery, believing that this was all that life will hold for them.

What are my payment options?

Payment is expected before each session, you must commit to the terms in contract. 1) Direct payment using Venmo (@FloridaSoars) – payment must be made before each session and transaction receipt emailed to the coach or presented at the session. This is the preferred method. 2) Money Order / Cashier's Check – payment must be made before each session and recieved a week before current session. This is also a preferred method. 3) Online – payment must be made before each session. You can use a credit card or PayPal.

What is a Trauma Coach?

A Trauma Coach is an individual qualified to educate, encourage, challenge and motivate you to achieve your recovery goals. A Trauma Coach is an active listener who works closely with you to facilitate recognizing the strategies & structure you require to move yourself towards your goals. We celebrate your successes, help you discover how to overcome challenges, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and assist you to move forward at quicker pace than you can achieve on your own.

What happens once I submit an inquiry?

Once you submit an inquiry, you will be emailed a link to our online self-assessment, where you will enter important information that your coach needs to assess whether the program is suitable for you and determine the best recommended approach. Please check your contact details, since they will be your first communication channels with your coach. Once your coach receives the forms, you will be contacted within 3 business days by phone or email, to schedule your free Discovery Session.

Do you guarantee results from your life coaching?

I do not guarantee results, as it is up to each individual to put in the required work and effort. The results are firmly predicated upon the client commitment and dedication to following the S.O.A.R. process in overcoming trauma.

Will I have privacy during our coaching sessions?

Absolutely! Florida Soars provides a safe environment so you can have the confidence that nothing will not be shared, exposed to discrimination, criticism, or harassment.

Where does the coaching take place?

In the majority of cases, coaching takes place online via Skype, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. This has proven to be the most convenient way for individuals to fit coaching into their busy lives. You will need a quiet room with no distractions, where you can focus completely on our conversation.

What happens during a coaching session?

During each session, we recap on the actions set and achieved from the last session, and cover any questions you may have. We then set a ‘session goal’ to clearly achieve your desired outcome. Together we explore what you may have tried, what has worked, and identify obstacles to overcome. Next, I provide you with insight, possible strategic options, and structure to achieve your goal(s). At the end of the session, we agree on your goals for the week and I provide you with any necessary education and worksheets that you may need throughout the week.

Living in a constant state of trauma, fear, depression, stress, and anxiety is NOT normal.
